Sawley will remember them

Details of this years Remembrance Sunday have been announced by Sawley Parish Council

The Act of Remembrance will take place at 11am on Sunday, 10th November at the memorial on Tamworth Road.

For safety reasons Tamworth Road will be closed to traffic at 10.40am until 11.20am between the junctions of Draycott Road and and Wilne Road. Short diversions will be in place.

Sawley Veteran Jock McDonald has been asked to lay the first wreath at this years Remembrance Day Commemoration.

Sawley Parish Council took the decision a few years back that the honour of laying the first wreath should go to a veteran.

Jock said he was honoured to be asked. Residents are also be invited to attend
